Dutch Oven Classes
The 1st Class
This class was a really fun class if I do say so myself!! We talked about everything from tongs, lid lifters, trevits, dutch ovens, cleaning and storing your dutch oven, Aluminum Dutch Ovens and tons more!!!

We did 3 different recipes!!

"Dutch Oven Mountain Man Breakfast with Hash browns"
"Dutch Oven Cream Soda Biscuits"
These 2 were cooked by Mary Ann!! :0)
"Dutch Oven In The Shell Baked Eggs = Hard Boiled Egg"

This is the products that we used or talked about in the first class.
Camp Chef Dutch Oven Dome
Camp Chef Cast Iron Conditioner
We also talked about Dutch Oven Tips!! Dutch oven Tips page

The 2nd Class
Tip from Dutch Oven Class on Propane Tanks
Just turn the knob on your propane tank 1 1/2 turns when turning it on!! You do not have to turn the knob all the way to get all the pressure you need from the propane tank!! Make sure all the knobs are off on your stove. Then turn the knob on the propane tank slowly!! That way you will not pop the shut off valve in the propane tank. If you have ever had just one burner working on your stove you have popped the shut off valve in the tank!

Tip from Dutch Oven Class on Dutch Oven Dome
You can take the Dutch Dome and turn it upside down put some aluminum foil in the bottom and then put your Dutch Oven in it to keep the Dutch Oven Warm!! You can also put aluminum foil over the top to keep more heat in too.
#2 Tip
When wanting to brown something like bread take the lid and put it on top of your stove. Let it sit there for 5 to 6 minutes on high. Then take off and put on top of your Dutch Oven. Make sure you use your lid lifter it will be HOT!! This way it will brown the bread while cooking!!

We also talked about "Log Cabin Seasoning"
This is the seasoning that her Grandmother used all the time to season everything she cooked. We have used it on fish, popcorn, wild game, baked potatoes, rolls, beef, chicken, mushrooms, soups, and tons more!!!
